9. The Prelate’s Tower

Part of the town’s former fortifications can be found behind the basilica. These were also reinforced by a rondell. In 1750, the Abbot Benedikt Rischer had this rondell rebuilt into a garden house. The common people thus named this garden house the Prelate’s Tower. You can see this charming building today in the parish garden.
